Ever since the match monopoly was lifted in 1983, we have focused our activities on supplying the advertising industry, wholesalers and agencies alike, with match boxes and matchbooks in previously unknown varieties.
Many years of experience in the field persuaded us to change our business from strict importing to manufacturing. Since the opening of borders to Eastern Europe in 1990, we have been producing a wide range of shapes in two Eastern European countries, with custom-made orders being our specialty. Many customers were unhappy with long delivery times from Japan, and we were able to drastically reduce these times through our own production. Quick advertising promotions, in particular, will be appreciative of this fact.

At a trade show in January 1984, we were the first company in Germany to introduce "Japanese Imports" – unusual new products and shapes which stirred up the dismal “post-monopoly era.” Since then, tenglerMATCH®, a division of Tengler Druck GmbH, a top-of-the-line offset printing company, has been dealing with import and marketing of promotional matches.
The acquisition of a high-quality digital printing press in 2002 enabled us to expand our market position. The unique ElectroInk liquid colour technology offers deep, rich offset print quality with even and brilliant colours with a resolution of 175 lpi, corresponding to a 70/cm screen. This allows us to produce small runs from 500 pieces and up within a short period of time, and we are going to use this ability to additionally serve a market sector previously neglected.
